TOURNAMENT NOTE:
NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN IF YOU WITHDRAW YOUR TEAM FROM A RENEGADES
TOURNAMENT ONCE THE TOURNAMENT CLOSES AND SCHEDULING BEGINS. THIS WOULD
BE ONE WEEK PRIOR TO THE TOURNAMENT.
YOUR UNDERSTANDING AND COOPERATION IN THIS MATTER IS GREATLY APPRECIATED
AS IT WILL HELP AVOID SCHEDULING ERRORS AND CONFUSION.
2013 Renegades Tournament Rules
No Game starts before the scheduled time
16 Minute Stopped Halves for ages 11 and up
14 Minute Stopped Halves for ages 9 and 10
Boys Ages 9, 10, 11, 12 play with smaller basketball 28.5
1 & 1 on Tenth Foul
6 Player Fouls per game
2- 30 Second Time Outs and 2- Full Time Outs
3 Minute Half Time
3 Minute Overtime with one additional time out
3 Minute Second Overtime & Sudden Death Third Overtime
No Mercy Rule (All games are stopped clock no matter what the score
differential)
PIAA Rules except Coaches are allowed to stand while coaching.
Note: There is a 5 count on both dribble & hold in front court.
No jewelry is allowed to be worn. Band-Aids over jewelry are not
allowed.
Refs have been instructed to eject anyone at the onset of outlandish
behavior and if a coach receives two technical fouls he will have to
vacate the building.
Anyone using abusive language will not be tolerated, and will be removed
from the premises.
We ask that the coaches, players and officials treat each other with
respect and demonstrate sportsmanlike conduct before, during and after
the tournament.
During our 3 game guarantee tournaments where teams are advancing to a
pool championship game, if a team’s championship game is scheduled
immediately following their third game, then they will be given ½ hr
rest prior to start of championship game.
Four team pools will play 3 games within their pool, 1st place team will
play 2ndplace team for Championship
Six team pools in an age group will be split into 2 groups. They will
play 2 games in their group and 1 cross over game, which will not be
counted towards their group standing. Winner of one group will play the
winner of the other group for a championship.
Five, Six & Seven Team Pools with all teams in common pool. Undefeated
teams advance. For more than 2 undefeated teams the following will
apply: 1) Point differential among common opponents (Maximum + or – 13
pts.) 2) Point differential totaled for all 3 games (Maximum + or – 13
pts.)
Tie-breaker format below will be followed for teams that are tied with
one loss.
Eight Team Pools within an age group will be broken into 2 groups. The
winner of each group will play for the championship of the age group.
Tie Breaker: In a 2-team tie, first look at head to head, then point
differential up to 13 points. For a tie between three or more teams,
head to head will not count; tiebreaker will be determined by point
differential (up to 13 points). If the tie is still not broken, it will
go to least points allowed for all three games combined.
